Bedding is provided but please make up your chosen bed yourself and strip the bed on Sunday morning to help the centre staff as they have a school party arriving on Sunday evening.
Stanley Village Pub:
The Travellers Rest pub in the centre of the village has quite an extensive menu from sandwiches and baked potatoes to full Sunday lunch and steaks etc.
Stanley is only a 10 minute drive from both Leek and Stoke for those non-drummers who may prefer to venture out while the workshops are held.
Drumming Curfew:
Please respect the drumming curfew times of 11pm on Friday and Saturday. We had no complaints from neighbours for the last three years but we all know how sound carries and we would like to be allowed back again!
Wildlife and Vegetation:
We are in an area which is rich in wildlife. The centre encourages and provides the correct habitat for all manner of mammals, birds, insects and plant life.
Please do not take any wood for the fire from rough areas of vegetation or woodland – these areas have been specifically set aside to encourage wildlife. Wood for the fire is provided.
Drumming Workshops:
Please arrive promptly at least 10 minutes before the start of each workshop.
We have allocated time to each one with no break – this is to ensure continuity. Please bring a chair and a drink with you if required.
We have structured the Saturday workshops to enable everyone to enjoy a group suitable for their own level of ability.
Those who do not wish to attend the workshops are free to sit by the lake, go for a walk and explore the area, mooch round the craft and fair trade stall, or just enjoy listening to and watching the workshops.
Sunday Activities:
Riffle Range – this is set up on site and can be visited anytime throughout the morning on Sunday. Just bob along as and when you are free to have a go.
High Wire Experience – We have two qualified instructors on site in the morning on Sunday. They can take 10 participants at a time and it takes 2 hours to get all 10 through the course.
Participation in any activity is not compulsory and I expect it will be great just to watch! However, if there is an activity you are desperate to do please let me know and I will do all possible to ensure you are confirmed.
Self Catering:-
If you are catering for yourselves please feel free to bring your food into the dining room to eat along with everyone else. You are not confined to your tent!
Message Board:-
There will be a Kontaani message board in the dining room where any changes to the itinerary will be displayed.
Mobile contact:- Marie – 07525 817 368

Last word (or maybe not!):-
I have tried to give you as much information as I possibly can to ensure you know exactly what to expect during the weekend. If you are unhappy with any aspect please do not hesitate to contact me and I will do my utmost to put it right for you.

This is strictly not a money making event but a gathering of like minded folk - the price of the tickets only just covers the cost of putting on the event and has been carefully managed to give the very best value for money. Therefore no refunds can be given if you cannot attend unless we can resell your place.
Please be aware of your neighbours when returning to your accommodation in the early hours!
Please help us to minimise the amount of clearing up we have to do on Sunday by removing your own bottles, cans and cigarette butts etc. from the party fire pit site. The center is used by children after we depart so kindly ensure all cigarette ends are burnt in the fire.
I am hoping the weather will be as kind to us as it has been for the last two years to enable us to be outdoors as much as possible in the evenings. However, as we are at the mercy of the elements I would like to request your understanding if we are crammed into an indoor space.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!
